Sarah’s Silks is a family owned company specializing in Waldorf inspired toys for children. They are well known for their playsilks, capes, fairy dresses and streamers all over the world.
They are based in California, USA and have been importing sustainably-produced, hand-woven silks from China and have recently celebrated their 25th anniversary.The silk is natural and materials are sourced from a village near Suzhou and the workers usually work from home weaving, dyeing, sewing and ironing the silks.
The dyes that they use are non toxic and environmentally friendly.
Pretend play is the foundation of creativity and the silks inspire children to express themselves with their imagination and develop through play.
These silks are well loved in our home and are taken out daily by our daughters, used in many different ways.
