Same as the ones you had when you where a kid. BRIO was founded in 1884 in Osby, a small town located in southern Sweden. Today, the small family-run business has grown into the global company BRIO AB, with subsidiaries in Germany, France and Japan and distributors around the world.
Brio is made in China from 100% from FSC® certified Beech wood, which is super dense and highly durable. Their paints are tested against the highest safety standards and they only use non-toxic colours that are free from metals and phthalates. They test to 125% safety standards, using greater heights when carrying out drop tests and greater pressure when performing load tests.
