Ostheimer are well loved all around the world. They have been hand crafting wooden toys for more than 50 years. Their toys are made to the highest quality and each figure is produced and finished individually by hand in Germany. They are designed to be heirloom pieces that can be handed down from generation to generation.
Each figure is hand traced, sawn out and carefully sanded and are made from hardwood, maple or elm. The colour is applied by hand and is non-toxic and water soluble and does not hide the natural wood. Each coat is applied by hand with multiple coats. Slight differences in colour, shape or details sometimes occur and these are not defects, but instead contribute to the special charm and uniqueness of these handmade figures.
